The Kourses platform offers a range of account role types to help you manage and moderate your courses, communities, and membership website.

Site Owner: This is the master account status for the site owner who has access to all features of your Kourses website. The Site Owner can create admins and upgrade membership members into moderators.

Admin Role: The Admin Role gives a person access to the majority of features in your Kourses account with the following exceptions:

Admin Role cannot access the main settings screen - settings/general.

Admin Role cannot access the Website Domain screen - website/domain.

Admin Role cannot create other "User" accounts.

To create an Admin Role, follow these instructions:

1    Click on your avatar icon in the top right corner of the admin screens.

2    Select "Settings" from the drop-down menu.

3    Select "Users" from the sub-menu and click the "Add User" button.

4    Complete the details to create the Admin Role user account.

Edit community posts and comments made by other members.

Approve or reject posts awaiting moderator action.

Edit lesson comments made by other members.

To create a Moderator Role, follow these instructions:

1    Click the "Members" link in the main admin screen navigation menu.

2    Select the member account you want to upgrade to a moderator (A person needs to be a member of your site to make them a moderator).

3    In the member account, click on the "Edit" button.

4    Scroll down to "Account Type" and switch the setting from "Regular" to "Moderator".

Note: Depending on your Kourses plan, there might be limits on the number of admins and moderators you can create for your account. You can upgrade your plan for additional Admin and Moderator allowances.
