In this video we'll give you an overview of how email marketing service integrations work inside Kourses:
Kourses allows you to connect your memberships to external email marketing platforms like CRMs or autoresponders. This means you can automatically send new member data to your email list — no manual work needed!
Let’s walk through how to set this up step by step.
🔗 Step 1: Choose a Membership to Integrate
Go to your Kourses dashboard.
Select one of your existing memberships.
Click the “Integrations” tab.
Click “Add a Service.”
This will bring up a list of supported email marketing services (like Aweber, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, etc.).
🛠 Step 2: Connect to Your Email Marketing Platform
From the list, choose your email service (e.g. Aweber).
Click “Connect.”
Log in to your external email service.
Select the account you want to connect (if prompted).
Once connected, you’ll return to Kourses.
Now you can configure your integration.
🧩 Step 3: Choose Where to Send Member Data
Depending on your email platform, you’ll need to select a list, tag, campaign, or other destination.
These options will vary based on the service you're using.
Example:
For Aweber, you might choose the “Course Members” list.
Click “Save” to complete the integration.
Now, every time a user is added to this membership, their data will automatically be sent to the selected destination in your email system.
⚠️ Important Notes on Integration Triggers
Not all member additions will trigger your integration.
Here’s when it will and won’t trigger:
✅ It will trigger if:
A member is added through the normal signup process.
A member is added through an external tool (like Make.com or Zapier) — but only if the correct API variable is used and email integration is enabled.
❌ It won’t trigger if:
You manually add a member inside the Kourses members screen.
Note: This might change in the future, but currently it’s important to keep in mind.
🗑 How to Remove or Disconnect an Integration
To remove the integration from a specific membership:
Click the “Remove” button next to the service.
This will stop sending data from that membership but won’t disconnect the service completely.
If you re-add the service, Kourses will instantly reconnect because the account is still linked.
To fully disconnect the service:
Go to your account menu.
Click “Settings.”
Go to the “Integrations” section.
Find the connected service (e.g. Aweber).
Click “Disconnect.”
Now you can reconnect that platform — or a different one — as needed.
✅ Summary
Use the Integrations tab in each membership to connect to email marketing tools.
Member data is only sent when the correct trigger events occur.
You can manage and disconnect integrations via the account settings.
Be mindful of how members are added — manual additions won’t send data.
This setup ensures your email list stays updated automatically, giving you more time to focus on growing your business.
