In this guide, we'll walk you through the editing options available for posts, comments, and replies in your Kourses community.

Let's get started!

Understanding Edited Tags

When you see an Edited tag on a post or comment:

  • Edited — means the member edited their own content.

  • Edited by an Administrator — means an admin has edited that member’s content.

You’ll also spot an eye (i) icon next to admin edits.
Hovering over it will show the reason why the edit was made.

Editing Content as an Administrator

Admins have special permissions:

  • You can edit any post, comment, or reply within the community.

  • After editing, you can (and should!) add a reason for the edit.

  • The platform will display "Edited by an Administrator" plus an info icon with the reason provided.

Pro Tip: Always give a reason when editing a member’s content!
It helps maintain transparency and builds trust within your community.

How to Edit a Member's Post

  1. Navigate to the post you want to edit.

  2. Click the three dots icon (...) on the post.

  3. Select Edit.

  4. Make your changes.

  5. Add a reason for the edit (e.g., "Post broke community rules").

  6. Save your changes.

The post will now show:

  • A label: Edited by an Administrator

  • An info icon with your reason.

How to Edit a Comment or Reply

You can also edit comments and replies the same way:

  1. Find the comment you want to edit.

  2. Click the three dots next to it.

  3. Choose Edit.

  4. Update the content and optionally add a reason.

  5. Save your changes.

Editing Your Own Content as a Member

Members can edit their own posts, comments, and replies at any time.

  • When they do, the content will show a simple Edited tag — without the admin label.

Quick Recap

  • Admins can edit any content and should give a reason.

  • Members can edit their own content without needing to give a reason.

  • Edited content is clearly labeled for transparency.

  • Transparency strengthens trust and the integrity of your community.
