How to Use the Upsells Feature in Kourses

The Upsells feature allows you to increase your revenue by offering an additional membership product immediately after a customer makes a purchase.


The Kourses system will store the buyer's payment details, allowing them to accept your upsell without having to re-enter their payment details. 


Here's how to set up and manage upsells inside your Kourses dashboard.


Step 1: Navigate to Your Membership

  1. Go to the Memberships section from your main dashboard.
  2. Click on the specific membership where you want to offer an upsell.


Step 2: Open the Upsells Tab

  1. Inside the selected membership, go to the Pricing tab in the main menu.
  2. Click on Upsell in the submenu.
  3. You'll see the option to Add an Upsell.
  4. ⚠️ Note: You can only attach one upsell product per membership.


Step 3: Select the Upsell Product

  1. Click on Add Membership.
  2. Choose the membership product you want to offer as the upsell (e.g., "Mindset Community").
  3. This selected membership is what the customer will gain access to if they accept the upsell.


Step 4: Set the pricing options

  1. Choose how you want to charge for the upsell:
    • One-time payment
    • Recurring subscription 
    • Instalmant plan
  2. Adjust the pricing to reflect the value of the upsell offer.
  3. Save your pricing. 


Step 5: Customise the upsell checkout page

  1. Click on the Pages tab and select the Upsell Page so that you can now choose your Upsell Page options. 
  2. You have a range of optional text fields to fill out and toggle options to switch on and off for the upsell page. If you leave a field blank, it won't show on the sales page. 
  3. You can also add optional visual media, such as an image or video, to enhance the communication of the offer's value.


Step 6: Preview the Upsell Experience

After saving your changes:

  • Preview the checkout flow from the buyer's perspective by clicking on "Preview > Upsell Page".
  • Your Upsell Page will be presented to buyers after the main checkout product purchase is complete.
  • The buyer can accept or skip the upsell offer with a single click.


Additional Tips:

  • Ensure your upsell offer is relevant and high-value to boost conversions.
  • Keep the upsell screen copy clear and benefit-focused.
  • You can update or replace the upsell at any time by returning to the Upsell tab under Pricing.
